This is the good vibes/thoughts/prayers thread for sending out well wishes and positive thoughts for people.

Sending the first one out to MsJellyBean's dad Sid who is a really amazingly nice man who just had surgery.

And also sending some out to Holdoll who also recently had surgery.

 Be well.  Keep shinin.

My Dad is doing well!! The surgery helped a great deal! I keep trying to drag him out to a BTV show, I'm trying. He'll get there. He's just sick of the cold weather. It makes him not want to go anywhere other than a warm car or the warm house.

Kim... much love and good energy for you and your Dad. If you ever need to just talk medical stuff I might be able to help in some small way. Hang in there, ok??? If you ever need to... just call.

Hey friends...

One of my cousins (Ericka) was diagnosed with COPD back in December and I just got the call that she was rushed to the hospital a few hours ago. There's something going on, apparently she couldn't breathe steadily and passed out, then hit her head and wound up with a concussion. So I am waiting for my Dad and another Cousin so we can all go to the hospital together.

If you can spare some love n' good energy... send away... Sad

Just got home from the hospital/taking my Dad for some dinner. It makes me very sad... my cousin has full blown COPD, and, she still hasn't quit smoking yet. She was told back in December that she had to quit and still, no.

*Sigh*

What can you do, ya know?

nothing...unfortunately...harping on people who are addicted to cigarettes just stresses them out and makes them want to smoke more to relieve the stress...it's a vicious cycle....believe me...I've experienced it.

Me too. I'm an ex-smoker.

I quit when I was ready. And just in time, too. It was actually making me very sick and I didn't know till years later when I needed surgery... twice.

But, she's going to try, because COPD is like breathing through a straw half the time, and smoking make the straw smaller.
