Welcome to the fifth

The BloodThirsty Vegans (BTVs) is a musical family that makes music (sweet, sweet music)
about
peace, love and understanding to unite the human family, foster respect for
the interconnected web of life, and remind the tribes how liberating it was to
dance the dances of
freedom.
Currently the BloodThirsty Vegans are
My Rap Name is Alex,
Janna "MC Vendetta" Willoughby,
Dave Harter,
Ben Sachs &
Bryan "Brrrn" Lohr
and sometimes
Michael Delaney and

Ug! Up...to...eyeballs... in computer codez. Must...needs....sleep! But it's all
gonna be SO worth it. The re-re-redesign of BloodThirstyVegans.com is going really well
and we are gonna have a lot of great stuff. Including forums! Yes. Communicate directly
with the BTVs and all of the friends and fans and the whole BTV tribe
right here.
New Band Members
There will be line up changes in the BloodThirsty Vegans. We are
saying goodbye to a band member this month (more info below) and we are playing some
really exciting music with some fine, fun and talented new folks. We should have some
definite new band member news to announce in the coming month.
Western New York Music Awards
Hey. Guess who got nominated for a Western New York Music Award?
Yeah! BloodThirsty Vegans! We are nominated in category #35 and would truly appreciate
your vote.
best of wny
Okay. We have some really great shows coming up for some really great causes.
First and foremost we are playing a fund raiser called "Freedom Bowl" for
Vive la Casa at Canisius College on
November 15th. Admission price is $50 ($20
for students) and it goes to a very worthy cause. Check out the Vive website
for more info (
www.ViveLaCasa.org).
If the Vive fund raiser is a little out of your price range (or even if it isn't)
you should come to The Scorpio Ball! This fund raiser for the Coalition of Economic
Justice will be held at 700 Main st. (3rd floor), on November 7th and starts at
10pm (yes, the Peace Center Dinner will be long over by then), and features music
by... BloodThirsty Vegans!, Fashion Expo! AND FudgyChewy!! That is pretty much three of
the funnest bands ever to exist EVER! That would be worth the $8.00 at the door even
if it wasn't a fund raiser where your money goes to a great cause
(
www.buffalojwj.org).
Earlier in the night on the 7th we will be plaing a quick warm up set downstairs at
the Vault to acompany some artistic cinema. And don't forget
Dance Alive! First Friday in November at the UU Church at 6pm.
We are now booking shows for December, please send any
ideas or inquiries to booking at bloodthirstyvegans.com

October's been full of thrills and chills here in Buffalo.
The Local Show (October 1st) - On the very first day of October we did "the
Local Show" at Buff State. If you missed it or want to hear it again, it's available
here on our website
Dance Alive! (October 2nd) - On the second day in October we played our
monthly all ages show and expanded our toddler army (which will eventually bring about
world peace).
Artists United for Human Rights (October 4th) - Man o man, on October 4th
we got to be a part of a showcase full of Buffalo's most amazingest talents. And we
got to raise a bunch of money for a great cause. It was a good day for music.
Infringement Fund Raiser (October 16th) - Then we played an AWESOME show
to a packed house at Merlins. We witnessed brand new songs by our friends
Quest for Friends, we raised money for the 2010 Buffalo infringement Festival, and
Kenn Riley (from Dali's Ghost) became a BloodThirsty Vegan. Sweet!
The Vault (October 23rd) - Next we played a show at the Vault (an awesome
Art Gallery at 702 Main st. in Buffalo) and got several new sign ups to our newsletter
email alert list. Welcome new people.
Haflaween (October 24th) - Oooooooo. The Halfaween came next. Bellydancers,
zombie snacks, dancing, and man you haven't lived until you've seen a bellydance performance
set to Michael Jackson's Thriller.
Festival of Blood V (October 31st) - and then on October 31st... HEY! Wait a
minute. That's today! You still have time to get to our last October show. Festival
of BLOOD is tonight at nobody's. $5 at the door. Costumes are mandatory. For more info:

Ben - (our departing bass player)
Our little baby brother is all grown up. Ready to spread his wings and fly.
What a fun year it's been Ben. You spoke not often into the microphone on stage, but
that which you have said behind the scenes has been priceless. Good luck with the rest of
the semester. Good luck overseas in Asia. Good luck with higher education. Don't
foget to write.
