The BloodThirsty Vegans (BTVs) is a musical family that makes music (sweet, sweet music) about peace, love and understanding to unite the human family, foster respect for the interconnected web of life, and remind the tribes how liberating it was to dance the dances of freedom.     Currently the BloodThirsty Vegans are My Rap Name is Alex, Janna "MC Vendetta" Willoughby, Dave Harter, Ben Sachs, Bryan "Brrrn" Lohr & Kaitlyn Marie Gardner and sometimes Michael Delaney or Liz Bailey.     Contacting BloodThirsty Vegans directly is pretty simple. We are all regular visitors to our facebook page. We design and operate our own website at bloodthirstyvegans.com that comes complete with message forums where you can leave messages for the band as well as other BTV friends and fans. And we also maintain pages on myspace and twitter. Welcome to BTV, Kaitlyn Marie "Pitch fork" Gardner If you happened to see any BTV shows in January, you may have counted 6 BloodThirsty Vegans instead of 5. That's because, after months of hinting around about various musicians that we've been playing music with, the BTVs have added a new keyboard player. Her name is Kaitlyn Marie Gardner and we played a couple of really fun shows with her in January and look forward to more shows with her as the grand adventure continues. Let the Feast Begin PreOrder We are taking preorders for Let the Feast Begin (our new CD). Preordered CDs will be autographed and numbered and will come with extra home made surprises that are not included in the regular release. See our facebook page for more details. On the last day in February we are going to compile a list of everyone who has at least one post on the BloodThirsty Vegans forums and keep that list with us for the rest of the year. Then any time you see us at a show you can just tell us what your screenname is and redeem your free sticker. SIMPLE! If we don't end up doing a show near you in 2010 you can send us postage or work with us to figure something out so that you can still get yours. Stickers must be claimed by Dec.31.2010. Only takes ONE post for the win! 2010: A Sound Oddesy This year is going to be great. BloodThirsty Vegans have been invited back to BEATFest & Buffalo Infringement Fest. We have been invited to Hamilton Infringement Fest. We are scheduled to play the Utica Music Fest this year in September. And we will come full circle and play the Lizzard Ball and the UU Church (the two locations where this adventure kicked off). It is shaping up to be a great year. If anyone has any suggestions or connections for cool festivals and gigs this year we are all rabbit ears. As always we are trying to line up our shows as far in advance as possible. Let the Listening Begin Hey! Sometime in early February we are totally going to have a listening party for our new CD, Let the Feast Begin. We don't have ANY of the details worked out yet at all (except we're pretty sure we're gonna play the CD at some point). So come get the first listen with us and share your thoughts. Get at us.     Feb.05.2010 Dance Alive! [6:00pm] UU Church of Buffalo 695 Elmwood Ave. (corner of W. Ferry)     The Intergenerational Dance Party is BACK! Dance Alive is jumpin off first Friday of the month: February 5th. Potluck begins at 6. Bring some food to share. Live music from Hooizzy and BloodThirsty Vegans from 7 to 9:30 with an intermission for our Kid Friendly Open Mic in between. 2010 Dance Alive Schedule Feb.20.2010 Nobodies LightShow! [9:00pm] Nobodys Art Center 1121 Elmwood (corner of Forrest)     Then, on Saturday February 20th, we are gonna have a wild & crazy LIGHTSHOW at Nobodys Art Center. Music will be provided by Shapes of States, BloodThirsty Vegans and the Gilded Masters of Acid House! Lights provided by Nobodys.     We are now booking shows for March 2010. Please send any ideas or inquiries to booking at bloodthirstyvegans.com We had two shows early on in January with our new member where we played a lot of songs from our new CD and even introduced one of our new songs that we've written since we wrapped recording on the CD. Glass Hero CD Release Party Glass Hero has a really fantastic new EP out with some totally epic rock songs on them. We got to plug in and help launch the EP --which, again, is awesome. Oh, and congratulations to Glass Hero for winning the first round of that Artvoice Original Music Contest thing. Rock On! Good Vibrations at the Science Museum Then we also had a full house full of fans, family, friends and other faces both familiar and unfamiliar. We made some really cool new fans and we expanded the Toddler Army the will Bring About Peace On Earth (TABAPOE). And Hayden scored a TOUCHDOWN! We were ALL winners at the Science Museum for sure. And while we were there we asked science to reconfirm that we are the most funnest band in the universe... and it TOTALLY DID!
