Welcome to the seventh BloodThirsty Vegans newsletter. January 2010 Edition.
The BloodThirsty Vegans (BTVs) is a musical family that makes music (sweet, sweet music)
about peace, love and understanding to unite the human family, foster respect for
the interconnected web of life, and remind the tribes how liberating it was to
dance the dances of freedom.
Currently the BloodThirsty Vegans are My Rap Name is Alex,
Janna "MC Vendetta" Willoughby, Dave Harter, Ben Sachs & Bryan "Brrrn" Lohr
and sometimes Michael Delaney and Liz Bailey.
Contacting the BloodThirsty Vegans directly is pretty simple.
We are all regular visitors to our facebook page.
We design and operate our own website at bloodthirstyvegans.com
that comes complete with message forums where you can
leave messages for the band as well as other BTV friends and fans. And we
also maintain pages on myspace and twitter.

2010 New Lineup
We're sorry to keep teasing people with this, but we really have been
practicing with a lot of cool new musicians lately. We just played
our first show with the whole extended family in December, and sometime
in early 2010 there will be shows with some new members of the expanded
extended family with new songs and new sounds.

With a little help from our friends
As the clock strikes 2010, the BloodThirsty Vegans have just passed
2,010 friends on our myspace page. Now before you say "Yeah, but
everybody uses facebook now" let us just say that we ALSO just passed
500 friends on our facebook page. And before you say "Yeah, but lots
of bands have 2000+ friends on myspace" let us just say that that's
true BUT we don't use any lists or programs to send out a million add
requests, we don't let people auto add us, we don't approve all the
spammers and unrelated bands, and all that. Our friends are a fine
collection of people and organizations that we actually hope to meet
and play music for someday, related bands that we're actually fans of
and people who added us after hearing our music.

The BloodThirsty Vegans concluded the Grand Adventure that was 2009
with four really fun shows.
Dance Alive! - First Friday in December we convened once again at
the UU Church of Buffalo to expand the Toddler Army that will Bring About
Peace On Earth (TABAPOE) a good time was had by many, and there is even
some bonus footage of the TABAPOE in action as our fun link of the month.
Faces of the Hip Hop Revolution - Then we packed up the show and
drove all the way to Northern North Tonawanda to play a Hip Hop Show with
a bunch of other awesome acts. We even got a bunch of Hip Hop heads to
dance!
Then in Mid December we played a show with 9nd Out at Club Infinity
(which is a HUGE place). We had a lot of fun up on the big stage with
the light show and the fog machine (which they thankfully left off while
we were on stage). There was a lot of good music that night, including
"Class War" (which is going to be a big hit in Clarence, it's just a matter of time).
Tunes4Food -
Man what a big sound we made at the Galleria Mall (it was a fund raiser for the WNY food bank).
Previously the only show that Liz B & Mike D had ever played
together was missing Ben, so this was the first time all seven of us actually
played together out in public. The seven of us crammed onto a tiny stage
and opened up a can of "Holy Wow!" and shocked a bunch of shoppers right out
of their shoes. We played "Rough", "Rise Above", "All Winners",
"Jamminibitty" & "Be Peace". Yep. At the Mall. Yup.

As 2009 draws to a close there are a number of people that we really need to
thank for the tons of support they've given us this year:
First and foremost we'd like to thank Kim Worpek for just basically
everything. Thank you for being such a huge help to us in so many ways.
Thanks to Eric from Soundwave Studios for inviting us into your home and
making us feel at home the whole time we were recording.
A big thank you to Leslie especially, but also Diana and
everyone associated with Euphraxia & Red Moon in any way. Y'all're
a wonderful expanded family to have.
Thank you Susan Marie for all of the connections you've made with and for
us this year.
Thanks to Amanda G and the whole crew at the Vault & the Loft for all
your enthusiasm.
Thank you to Dave's family for letting us play music up in the attic.
thank-yous to Nikki Germany and Jennifer Elinge for trekking all the way
to Clarence to see us at Infinity and John Lavelle from 9nd Out for doing
our awesome new BTV stickers.
Thank you to everyone that attended and/or performed at a Dance Alive this
year. Thanks to everyone who brought food, or brought kids, or brought
joy in any form or fashion.
And thanks to everyone who came out to see us at any show this year or told
anyone about us or even just listened to our music and liked it.
